One last hoorah...maybe...

The weather has been amazing for this time of year.  Gorgeous summery days.  I think we may have just scraped in one last fabulous beach day.  The weather was stunning, the water crystal clear with perfect rolling waves, drawing in the sand...
'gobbles' - essential head wear for the superhero...
..and then this...
Incredible black storm clouds rolled in & hovered above for a little while before opening up & dumping pouring rain at 3.30, right on cue for school pick up...
Could this finally have been our last summery beach day for the season? I think so. I'm glad were able to enjoy it while it lasted...

  1. Oh yes, just like Darwin, always massive down pour in time for children coming out of school to get wet & soggy. Naturally mine would also find every puddle to leap into. Love Posie

  2. Ocean grove would still be lovely even when it is pouring with rain. It has been lovely here too, almost difficult to believe this is autumn.

  3. Love the rainy school pick-up!! (I've always been the one inside trying to put on 26 raincoats and avoid getting my eye poked out by rogue umbrella wielders!!) It's like the sky just waits until 5 minutes before the bell to open up! Hope all is well :)

  6. I am always amazed at the power of Mother Nature...a sun shinny lovely day can quickly turn to an impressive storm in what seems like a blink of an eye.

Glad you got to enjoy some of the sunshine while it lasted :)

  8. Great shot of the clouds rolling over the beach Mel. Don't think I've ever seen them look like that.
